Learning Parenthood, One Sock Baby at a Time

AP Psychology students recently took a hands-on (and lighthearted) approach to learning about child and adolescent development. As part of the unit, students were tasked with caring for their own sock “babies,” offering a playful yet meaningful glimpse into the responsibilities of parenthood.

From January 20-27, a few of these pint-sized “babies” could be spotted around campus accompanying their student caregivers to class. The project encouraged students to think critically about developmental stages, responsibility, and the realities of caring for another being, all while adding a bit of humor and heart to the learning experience.
