Varsity Cross Country Shows Growth Bulldog Invitational

On 10/21/23, the varsity boys and girls cross country teams participated in the South Fork Bulldog Invitational at South Fork High School in Stuart. Overall, the Pirate athletes ran strong in the meet and showed great improvements on time.

For the boys team, several athletes hit new personal records, including Jack Curley with 18:59 and Jimmy Collins with 20:57. Sixth grader Jamin Dunham hit a huge personal record at 21:49, with almost a 2 minute drop, and freshman Daniel Clemente dropped 38 seconds to record a personal record of 22:48. Trey Donohoe also dropped a minute off of his time for a new personal record.

For the girls team, eighth grader Charlie Cappelen recorded a significant personal record of over a minute and a half at 25:28. Freshman Alexandra Perrin ran a season-best, and senior Tyler Colgan matched her personal record, running 24:40. 
 
Next meet is away on 10/28/23 at the Sebastian River 30th Annual Invitational at Sebastian River High School, starting at 7:30 AM.
