Varsity Volleyball Brings Down Calvary Chapel

On 9/12/25, the varsity volleyball team took on Calvary Chapel Academy in West Melbourne. The Pirates put away the Eagles in the 1st set 25-15 but narrowly fell in a hard-fought 2nd set 24-26. Undeterred, the Pirates rallied in the 3rd set to claim a 25-12 victory. The exciting 4th set battle saw the Pirates emerge as the ultimate victors with 25-23. 

Margaret Fykes led the Pirates on the court with 1 kill, 6 aces, 45 assists, and 11 digs; and Nevin Waddell led the team in kills and digs, tallying 16 digs, 16 digs, 1 ace, and 1 assist. Makena Rodriguez netted 12 kills, 2 aces, 1 assist, and 14 digs. Alexandra Jefferson recorded 13 kills, 9 digs, and 3 blocks, and Grace Fykes added 4 aces, 5 assists, and 12 digs. Also contributing to the Pirates' successful night were Grace Clemente with 7 kills, 1 ace, and 3 digs; Khlieo Perez with 4 kills, 1 dig, and 3 blocks; Maddie Moscrip with 6 digs; and Lily O'Brien with 1 ace.
