Varsity Girls Volleyball Moves on to Regional Semifinals
The varsity girls volleyball team traveled to Orlando on 10/21/25 to take on Orlando Christian Prep School in the Class 1A Region 2 Quarterfinals. The Pirates brought down the Warriors in straight sets (25-11, 25-20, 25-15) to advance to the Regional Semifinals.
Nevin Waddell took charge at the net with 17 kills, 4 aces, and 4 digs, and Margaret Fykes kept the ball moving with 2 kills, 1 ace, 31 assists, and 2 digs. Grace Fykes provided 4 aces, 4 assists, and 12 digs, and teammate Makena Rodriguez collected 5 kills, 2 aces, 2 assists, and 2 digs. Grace Clemente tallied 8 kills, and Khlieo Perez added 3 kills, 1 assist, 1 dig, and 1 block. Also contributing to the Pirate victory were Alice Crean with 3 kills and 1 block, CJ Fykes with 1 ace and 3 digs, and Maddie Moscrip with 1 ace and 1 dig.
Next game is the Class 1A Region 2 Semifinals at The Genva School in Casselberry, starting at 1:00 PM.
