Varsity Girls Lacrosse Dominates Season Opener Against Crusaders

Varsity girls lacrosse kicked off the season-opening double header on 2/10/26 at home alongside varsity boys lacrosse as they took on Cardinal Newman High School. The Pirates took control of the game from the first minute and never gave up the lead, defeating the Crusaders 16-7. 

Scoring for the Pirate team was led by Bebe Busch-Dunford with 3 goals. Following closely was Margaret Fykes with 2 goals and 2 assists. Teammates Caitlin Moscrip, CJ Fykes, and Kelly Lynch collected 2 goals each. Notably, C. Moscrip's first goal of the night was her 100th career goal as a Pirate. Aerin Russell, Blair Moore, Brooke Moore, and Grace Fykes all scored 1 goal apiece, and eighth-grader Gertie Busch-Dunford scored her 1st varsity goal.

At the line, C. Moscrip and M. Fykes each had 3 draw controls. Eighth grader Sloane Moylan recorded her first varsity blocked pass. At the goal, Maddie Moscrip logged 2 saves, and Abbey Carter recorded 1 save.
