Varsity Volleyball Overtakes Merritt Island Christian
On 9/17/21, the varsity volleyball team faced off against Merritt Island Christian in the Gonzalez-Lobo Activities Center. Continuing their home game winning streak, the Lady Pirates recorded a straight set win over the Lady Mustangs: 25-22, 26-24, 25-11.
Senior Izzy Jennings recorded 6 blocks and 2 kills for the Lady Pirates, senior Alexa Soderman collected 4 aces and 14 kills, and senior Ellie Schrock contributed 18 digs and 1 ace. Sophomore Kelly Barnett amassed 10 digs, 2 aces, 2 kills, and 1 block for the Lady Pirate team. Also helping lead the Lady Pirates to victory were sophomore Elliotte Kahler with 5 aces and 22 assists and sophomore Meagan Baker with 9 kills and 1 ace.
