Varsity Girls Weightlifting Finishes Regular Season Strong

Varsity girls weightlifting hosted Vero Beach High School on 1/15/26 in the Wachter Activities Center for their last meet of the regular season. The Pirate team scored 11 points in Olympic and 9 points in Traditional, to the Indians' 46 points in Olympic and 48 points in Traditional.

In her division, junior Lily Browning captured 1st place in both of her events, lifting 65*/75/140* in Olympic and 75/70*/145* in Traditional.

Junior Valentina Henriquez lifted 70*/85/155* in the Olympic category to secure 1st place and lifted 85/75*/160* in Traditional to finish in 2nd.

In her division, freshman Katie Padgett went 6for6 with 40/55/95 in Olympic and also went 6for6 with 55/60/115 in Traditional, finishing in 3rd place in both of her events.

Next meet is the Class 1A District 15 Tournament on 1/24/26, starting at 11:00 AM at Doctors Charter School in Miami Shores.
