Varsity Baseball Concludes Regular Season with Impressive Winning Streak

The varsity baseball team played their last game of the regular season at Palm Bay Magnet High School on 4/10/26. The Pirates took the lead in the top of the 3rd inning when Caden Freedman singled, scoring 2 runs, to give Saint Edward's the 2-1 advantage. The Pirates went on to pull further ahead of their opponents, ending the day triumphant 5-1 and extending their impressive regular season win streak, only having dropped 1 game this season. 

Freedman also earned the win for the Pirates on the mound. The righty surrendered 7 hits and 1 run over 7 innings, striking out 7 with no walks.

At bat, Freedman provided pop in the middle of the lineup, leading the Pirate team with 3 runs batted in. The left-handed hitter went 1-for-3 on the day. Nolan Ange went 2-for-4 at the plate, and teammate Rodney Stephens stole 3 bases to pace the offense. The Pirates also stole 5 bases in the game.
 
Next game is the Class 1A District 13 Semifinals, starting at 7:00 PM at Lakewood Park Baseball Fields in Fort Pierce.
