Varsity Baseball Heading to District Final after Defeating Eagles

The varsity baseball team competed in the Class 1A District 13 Semifinals against Calvary Chapel Academy on 4/16/26 at Lakewood Regional Park in Fort Pierce. The Pirates scored 8 runs in the 1st inning on their way to victory with Reid Morris doubling to score 2 runs, Trey Dunlap doubling to score 1 run, Braylon Kirkland doubling to score 2 runs, Graham Hutton singling to score 2 runs, and Nolan Ange tripling to score 1 run. Saint Edward's added to their early lead in the bottom of the 3rd inning when Morris drew a walk, scoring 1 run, and AJ Francis singled, scoring 2 runs. The Pirates swept the Eagles in the game 11-0 to clinch their spot in the District Final.

Dunlap started the game for the Pirates on the mound. The righty gave up 1 hit and 0 runs over 4 innings, striking out 6 and walking 1. The Pirates were sure-handed in the field and didn't commit a single error.

At the plate, Kirkland collected 3 hits in 3 at bats for the Pirates: doubling in the 1st inning, singling in the 3rd inning, and doubling in the 4th inning. The Pirate team piled up 9 hits in the game and stole 5 bases. 
 
Next game is the Class 1A District 13 Final against Master's Academy of Vero on 4/17/26, starting at 7:00 PM at Lakewood Regional Park in Fort Pierce.
