Regional Qualifiers for Varsity Boys Weightlifting Take Part in Tournament

The varsity boys weightlifting qualifiers took part in the Class 1A Region 6 Tournament at Frostproof Middle-Senior High School in Frostproof on 4/23/26. Medaling for the Pirate team, Alexander Wolek finished in 2nd place in Traditional for his weight class, and teammate Brody Crookshank placed 2nd in Olympic and 3rd place in Traditional in his weight class. With their combined points earned, the lifters finished 8th overall as a team in Traditional and 10th overall as a team in Olympic. Qualifying to represent the Pirates at the Class 1A State Championship are Rome Barker (Traditional) and Crookshank (Olympic). Individual scores for the Pirate team are below:
