Results from the Varsity Boy Weightlifting State Championship
The varsity boys weightlifting Class 1A State Championship was held on 5/8/26 at the PR Funding Center in Lakeland. Rome Barker competed in the Traditional category in the 129 weight class and placed 15th overall. He clean&jerked 190 lbs., narrowly missing a personal record matching 209lbs. He benched 165 lbs., and barely missed a personal record attempt at 175 lbs. Barker finished the day with a total of 355 lbs.
