Varsity Boys Basketball Triumphs Over Titans

The varsity boys basketball team played host to Odyssey Charter School on 12/12/23 in the Gonzalez-Lopez Activities Center. The Pirates took the 1st quarter with 11-9 and outshone the Titans in the 2nd quarter to finish the 1st half 24-15. Teamwork and solid performance allowed the Pirates to put away the Titans in the 2nd half, sealing the 59-50 victory.

Nate Sparkman led the scoreboard with 19 points. Gary Anderson, who netted 10 points for the Pirates, shut down the Titans on both ends of the court. Cody Simmonds sank 9 points for the team, and teammates Jack Johnson and Sean Stalheber put up 5 points each. Jayzere Cannon sank a 3-pointer for the Pirate team. Helping ensure the Pirates' hard-fought victory were Cameron Barnes, Wes Nobile, Kaleb Jones, and Wyatt Burdick with 2 points apiece.
 
Next game is away on 12/14/23 at Tradition Preparatory High School in Port St. Lucie, starting at 7:00 PM.
