Varsity Girls Weightlifting Competes in 1st Meet of Season at St. Cloud HS

The varsity girls weightlifting team hit the road for St. Cloud High School in St. Cloud on 11/5/25 to compete in their first meet of the season. A few of the Pirates hit new personal records, and Issie Evans hit every lift to go 6for6 in each competition.

Junior Issie Evans collected 6th place in her weight class in the Olympic category, going 6for6 with 50/80*/135. She also went 6for6 in the Traditional category, to receive 6th place for her lifts of 80*/70/150.

In her division, junior Valentina Henriquez placed 8th in both Olympic (45/60/105) and Traditional (60/65/125).

Freshman Katie Padgett placed 7th in her weight class in Olympic with 40*/55*/95 and 7th in Traditional with 55*/55/110.

Rounding out the successful day for the Pirates, junior Lily Browning placed 6th in the Olympic category in her division with 45/50/95 and finished 6th in Traditional with 50/50/100.

Next meet is away on 11/12/25 at Vero Beach High School in Vero Beach, starting at 5:00 PM.
