Varsity Girls Tennis Opens Season with a Win

On 2/3/26, the varsity girls tennis team played their first game of the season at home at Riverside Park Tennis Court against John Carroll Catholic High School. The Pirates dominated the courts against the Golden Rams, winning the matchup 6-1.

Winning singles matches for the Pirates were #2 Mia Maldonado (8-2), #3 Chandler Higdon (8-0), #4 Jenessa Kendall (8-2), and #5 Charlotte Peponis (8-1). 

Winning their #1 doubles match was the team of Emmery Clarkson and Higdon (8-3). Completing the Pirate victory was the #2 doubles team of Maldonado/Kendall (8-0).

Winning exhibition singles matches were Illyana Durkin (8-2) and Anabella Botero (8-5).
 
Next game is away on 2/12/26 against Master's Academy of Vero, starting at 3:30 PM at Vero Beach Tennis & Fitness Club.
