Close One for Varsity Boys Tennis in VBHS Matchup
On 2/19/26, the varsity boys tennis team went up against Vero Beach High School on the road. The Pirates fought gallantly on the courts in the thrilling matchup but narrowly fell to the Indians 3-4.
Winning singles matches for the Pirates were #1 Jose Robledo Pretelt (8-4) and #4 Aneesh Chalasani (8-3).
The Pirates' #1 doubles team of Robledo Pretelt and James Peponis clinched their match 8-3.
Winning an exhibition singles match for the Pirates was Mikey Ladd (8-4). Winning doubles exhibition matches were the teams of Jackson Peshke/Cov Kennedy (8-6) and Christian Peter/Diego Leal (8-4).
