Varsity Baseball Celebrates Win On Teacher Appreciation Night

On 3/20/26, the varsity baseball team played its Teacher Appreciation Night game on Blue Diamond Field against Berean Christian School. The Pirates got on the board in the bottom of the 2nd inning after Nolan Ange singled, scoring 1 run; Jack Torresson singled, scoring 1 run; Graham Hutton singled, scoring 2 runs; and Caden Freedman hit a sacrifice fly, scoring 1 run. The Pirates defeated the Bulldogs on the field 13-1.

Torresson was a standout at the plate for the Pirate team, collecting 3 hits in 3 at bats: hitting a deep home run to left field in the 3rd inning, singling in the 2nd inning, and singling in the 4th inning.

Hutton earned the win for the Pirates on the mound. The right-handed pitcher allowed 0 hits and 1 run over 2 innings, striking out 3. Ange pitched 3 innings in relief for the Pirate team, giving up 1 hit and 0 runs while striking out 4 and walking 1.
 
Next game is away on 3/24/26 against the Brevard HEAT, starting at 6:00 PM at the Fred Poppe Regional Park in Palm Bay.
