The Saint Edward's School tennis program begins in the Middle School. However, many SES students compete in USTA sponsored matches throughout the year prior to competing for SES. Tennis is a spring sport with the season running from early January through late April.
The school fields a competitive team each year with results ranging from individual success to team success.
It is a young team with promising talent. The boys and girls teams have their matches together. The tennis teams compete in singles and doubles with a match consisting of five singles and two doubles.
Girls tennis won the District Championship in 2007, 2010, 2012, 2013, and have advanced to regionals and states.
The varsity team competes in the Florida High School Athletic Association Class 1-A, District 8 state series. They are a part of the Treasure Lake Conference. Home matches are played at Riverside Park Tennis Courts.
Coach Miller is the head of the tennis program.
