At Saint Edward's School, tennis begins in the Middle School with the very popular late spring sport offering. The school fields a competitive varsity team in the spring season each year, with results ranging from individual success to team success. The varsity squad competes in the Florida High School Athletic Association Class 1A - Region 4 - District 8 state series. 

The varsity boys and girls tennis teams hold their matches concurrently, and each team competes in singles and doubles sets. Home matches are played at Riverside Park Tennis Courts, and scoring for each team includes the results of the top 5 singles seed matches and top 2 doubles seed matches. Upon the conclusion of gameplay, friendly exhibition matches against opponents are also a possibility when time and space allow.
