Varsity Boys Basketball Takes Down Spartans

The varsity boys basketball team went head-to-head on the road on 1/21/26 at Somerset College Prep Academy in Port St. Lucie. The Pirates led the Spartans 18-13 at the end of the 1st quarter and increased their lead to 30-18 going into halftime. Never looking back, the Pirates maintained the lead over the Spartans to finish the game with a 61-39 victory.

Cody Simmonds, who led the team in rebounds with 11 and steals with 4, collected 23 points in the matchup; and Wyatt Burdick nabbed 16 points. Kaleb Jones brought in 10 points, and Jayzere Cannon recorded 8 points. Teammates Daniel Clemente, Cole Register, and Trey Dunlap collected 2 points apiece, and Clemente led the team in blocks with 5.
 
Next game is the 9th Annual D5 Alive Tournament on 1/23/26 versus Master's Academy of Vero, starting at 8:00 PM in the Gonzalez-Lobo Activities Center.
