Exploring the Brevard Zoo
In fifth grade, students are learning how to think critically about debatable topics. They are conducting research and interviews with the ultimate goal of writing strong position papers and participating in lively debates. One of the topics we are exploring in the unit is zoos. Are they good or are they bad? Exploring the Brevard Zoo with this lens gave students valuable first-hand information to lean on as we develop positions.
