Continuous Enrollment

Re-Enrollment Made Simple

Each year at Saint Edward’s School, more than 90% of students annually re-enroll for the following school year. We love our students and are proud to see such strong retention numbers year after year. But re-enrollment just has not been simple enough for families.

In order to simplify the process for SES families, we’re announcing a new enrollment process, called Continuous Enrollment. Continuous Enrollment will allow our students to remain continuously enrolled until their graduation.

After the 2022-23 school year you will no longer be required to complete and sign a multi-page re-enrollment contract. Instead, you will receive a simple form annually in mySTEDS providing parents with the option to opt out of the contract or pay the annual deposit amount to remain enrolled at Saint Edward’s School. You will also have an option to make any changes to your previous payment, billing, and tuition insurance selections. It is that simple.

For 2022-23 enrollment, you will be sent instructions on completing the re-enrollment process for the last time and signing up for Continuous Enrollment. It is important that you complete and submit your child’s contract on or before February 15

By completing the Continuous Enrollment process this year, you will never have to think about re-enrollment at Saint Edward’s School again! We know you will appreciate the simpler process and guaranteed classroom placement that Continuous Enrollment provides.

List of 13 frequently asked questions.

  • Why Continuous Enrollment?

We have listened to parent feedback and understand that an annual re-enrollment process coincides with an already busy time of year and that a multi-page contract to review each year is time-consuming and confusing for parents. Our goal is to simplify the process for families with the understanding that their child will be automatically re-enrolled at SES until graduation unless the parents choose to opt out by completing a simple form. The School may also choose to withhold this form and/or cancel a contract for academic, behavioral, or financial reasons.
  • What is Continuous Enrollment?

Continuous Enrollment eliminates the tedious process of filling out online enrollment every year and replaces it with a simple opt-out option to withdraw from Saint Edward’s School or confirmation of Continued Enrollment by submitting an annual deposit. With Continuous Enrollment, your child’s enrollment contract will be valid from the year of enrollment until he/she graduates from Saint Edward’s School or until the withdrawal process is complete.
  • What will Continuous Enrollment look like in future years?

On or about the second Wednesday of January each year, the School will notify parents of the tuition, deposit, finance charges, and other related fees for the next academic year. Families will be sent access to a form behind the password on mySTEDS providing parents the option to affirmatively opt out of the contract or pay the annual deposit amount and remain enrolled. You will also be given the opportunity to make any changes to your previous payment plan, billing, and tuition insurance selections. It’s that simple! This form must be completed and submitted by February 15 of each year, with the corresponding deposit, to remain enrolled. Similarly, parents must choose to opt out of the contract by February 15 in order to cancel the contract.
  • What are the benefits of Continuous Enrollment?

Simplicity. You will be able to take this long re-enrollment process off your list. Guaranteed placement. We are either at or near capacity in many of our grades. By opting into Continuous Enrollment, you will be securing that coveted seat for your child.
  • Why do we need to sign a Continuous Enrollment contract this year?

Having families sign the one-time Continuous Enrollment contract confirms that families fully understand the new policy and requirements. For the next school year (2022-2023), we are asking parents to read the Terms and Conditions of the Continuous Enrollment Agreement and indicate their agreement with their signature.
  • What if I change my mind about my current tuition payment plan or billing option?

The annual notification form you fill out to re-enroll your child will allow you to make these changes. You can also contact the Finance Office at (772) 492-2316.
  • What will the tuition rates be for the 2022-2023 school year?

Tuition rates for the upcoming school year were posted to the Saint Edward’s School website in December. Additionally, tuition, deposit, finance charges and other related fees will be listed on your 2022-2023 re-enrollment contract.
  • How does Continuous Enrollment work if I am applying for Variable Tuition as well?

Beginning in the fall of 2022, all applications for Variable Tuition will be due on November 1. Variable tuition amounts will be communicated on the annual notification form issued on or about the second Wednesday of January for future years. Families will have the option to opt out of the Continuous Enrollment contract or pay the deposit to remain enrolled for the following year by February 15.
  • I am enrolling a new sibling. What do I need to do?

Complete the online application process by visiting the How to Apply page on the School’s website or use the application tile on the parents’ resource board tab in mySTEDS. Please reach out to the Office of Enrollment Management to receive a complimentary application fee waiver code provided to current families and alumni.
  • How do we notify SES if we do not plan on returning?

On or about the second Wednesday, you will be notified of the tuition, deposit, finance charges, and other related fees for the next academic year. Families will be sent access to a form behind the password on mySTEDS providing parents the option to affirmatively opt out of the contract if so desired. This form must be completed and submitted by February 15 in order to avoid additional fees.
  • What if I am behind on my account?

All accounts must be kept current to receive a schedule, a guaranteed seat in class, or records. SES reserves the right to not guarantee your class placement if there is an outstanding balance.
  • What is the penalty if I break this agreement?

If a parent/guardian completes the annual notification form and selects the opt-out option for their child prior to February 15, no deposit will be collected. If the parents cancel the contract after that date but prior to May 31, they will forfeit their nonrefundable deposit but not be responsible for tuition payments for the coming school year. If the contract is canceled after May 31 the family will be financially responsible for the entire tuition for the following school year. Please note that there are options to purchase tuition insurance that can help protect parents against unforeseen circumstances.
  • What if I change my mind after the deadline?

All deposits are non-refundable. As in previous years, families will have until May 31 to cancel their contract. After that date, families will be responsible for the full contracted tuition amount. Families who opt out of the contract by using the online form prior to February 15 and later decide to enroll must contact the Office of Enrollment Management for space availability. There will be no guarantee of a seat for that student.
