About

Employment

Our goal is to provide...

a superior learning environment for our students to acquire a quality education grounded in the teachings of the Judeo-Christian tradition. At the same time, we strive to provide a positive working environment where outstanding faculty members are rewarded for their excellence.

As a religiously-oriented institution, our philosophy demands that the dignity of the individual be respected and nurtured. We expect that the relationship among students, faculty, and staff be of such nature that demeanor in and out of the classroom reflects self-respect, as well as mutual respect, which will bring about a warm, friendly, and sympathetic relationship, evidenced by our speech and actions.

We are dedicated to continuing what we believe to be an excellent employee relations program. We will do our best to maintain good working conditions, competitive wages and benefits, open communications, and employee involvement.

Over the years, this School has earned a fine reputation in our field. We know that our reputation is a direct result of the loyalty, commitment and continued efforts of our employees.

Working at Saint Edward's

Have you ever seen the look in a young person's eyes when she grasps a new idea for the first time? The members of our faculty are educators because there isn't a joy in the world better than that look. Our teachers want to challenge students with questions in addition to filling them with facts, to get to know them as individuals, not just as faces in a crowd.

If you are interested in joining Saint Edward's School (SES) there are a few things you should know about our close-knit community. We believe there is no more important profession than that of education. For those familiar with the independent school environment this may be old news, but for many who choose to work at Florida independent schools, alignment with our mission is critical to a mutually beneficial working relationship:

Our Mission

  • To inspire young people to develop a passion for learning, to cultivate reasoned perspectives, and to foster a variety of personal skills.
  • To nurture in each person a deep sense of respect, responsibility, reverence, and compassion; and
  • To challenge all to envision and work toward creating a better world.
  • To develop dynamic educational programs that attract and retain the highest quality student and faculty, supported by a comprehensive financial structure.
  • To be recognized for excellence in all programs so that our graduates are pursued by the most competitive, prestigious colleges and universities.
  • To educate students and parents to believe that the experience they have at Saint Edward's School is incredibly powerful, giving the students key advantages as a student and a person and is well worth the price.
  • To create a positive personal working relationship with each child and each family to create a true sense of community in all our endeavors.
  • To transform students, parents, faculty and staff into articulate and enthusiastic ambassadors of the Saint Edward's School Advantage.
Saint Edward’s School, founded upon the independent Episcopal school tradition, is a co-educational, pre-kindergarten through grade twelve, college preparatory school committed to educational excellence. To empower each child to reach his or her full potential, the School community promotes an environment of advocacy, challenges the whole student, cultivates moral courage and spiritual growth, and inspires a lifelong passion for learning.
