Seventh Grade Dissection of Owl Pellets

(lk)
While the initial smell is a bit off-putting, students in Mr. Leonhardt's seventh grade science class are excited to dissect owl pellets. Several students commented that it is "really cool" to find the bones of animals, mainly rodents, that the owl had eaten. The ultimate goal is to reconstruct the bones to figure out what animal had been the owl's last meal. *Please click on the headline for more photos.
