Varsity Boys Tennis Sweeps Golden Rams on Court
The varsity boys tennis team hosted John Carroll Catholic High School on 2/28/24 at Riverside Park Tennis Courts. The Pirates shut down the Golden Rams on the courts to secure a 7-0 victory.
Winning singles matches for the Pirates were #1 Justin Hall (8-1), #2 Nicky Colontrelle (8-2), #3 Rushil Sura (8-0), #4 Seb Hall (8-0), and #5 Christopher Porter (8-2).
The #1 doubles team of James Peponis and Augie Barreirinhas secured their victory 8-2. Winning their #2 doubles match for the boys and sealing the Pirates' sweep was the team of Peshke/Bruno Barreirinhas (8-4).
Winning an exhibition singles match for the Pirates was Matthew Stern (8-0).
