Seven Habits Highlights Listening Skills

(lk)
The Seven Habits of Highly Effective Teens wheel class is wrapping up Habit #5: Seek First to Understand, Then to Be Understood. Have you ever talked to someone who you knew wasn't really listening to you? A key part of understanding another person is to listen appropriately. The current group of seventh- graders is perfecting their S.O.L.E.R. skills when listening to someone else during a conversation: Sit Squarely, Open Posture, Lean In, Eye Contact and Relax. Thank you to Sommer Soderman and Giovana de Sousa for volunteering to showcase these essential skills while listening to and understanding a friend, sibling, or fellow student.  Click here for the video.
