MS Art: Creatures of Clay
The Project: Sixth grade was tasked with building a fully 3-dimensional animal or creature out of clay. The creature could be anything of their choosing, mythical or otherwise, and we focused on the form and texture as we built. Along the way, students discovered how to wedge, slip, score and hollow clay to aid in the building process. The finished creatures will be painted with multicolored acrylics.
