The Waxlax stage turned into a word wonderland yesterday as Mrs. Puttick's and Mrs. Binkley’s first graders put on a Vocabulary Showcase that was equal parts educational and adorable. Each student strutted their stuff dressed as a vocabulary word (think shimmering adjectives and expressive nouns), sharing definitions and sentences like pros.
Just when the crowd thought the show couldn’t get any more entertaining, their Senior Buddies made a surprise entrance. Cue the beat! "Ice Ice Baby" started to play, but with a twist. The students performed a hilarious and heartfelt remix, swapping “ice, ice, baby” for “vocabulary, baby” and dropping clever lyrics.
It was a perfect blend of learning and laughter, and the kind of moment that shows just how much fun school can be. Click here to rewatch the showcase, and click here for an album of highlights. *Mic drop*
