Burning Questions: Honors Ecology Students Research Prescribed Fire to Restore Forest Health

Forestry field sampling is conducted by Mrs. Nelson's honors ecology students before and after local wildlife ecologists implement prescribed fire at a local preserve. Students are studying the effects of controlled burns on terrestrial and wetland habitats and wildlife. Fires are a vital land management practice to improve the health of our natural areas.
