Exams Are Coming — Stay Healthy

As we are in full swing of flu season, we want to work together to keep our school community healthy and safe. To help prevent the spread of illness, please keep your child home if they are experiencing any of the following:
  • Fever: A temperature of 100.4°F or higher in the past 24 hours, without the use of fever-reducing medication (such as acetaminophen or ibuprofen).
  • Vomiting: Any vomiting within the past 24 hours.
  • Diarrhea: Any diarrhea within the past 24 hours.
  • Frequent, uncontrolled cough that disrupts their ability to participate in school.
  • Strep throat: Children must be on antibiotics for at least 24 hours before returning to school.
  • Conjunctivitis (Pink Eye): Children must be on prescribed antibiotic eye drops for at least 24 hours before returning.
We also encourage students to wash their hands frequently with soap and water as germs are everywhere, including on their cell phones. By following these guidelines, we can limit the spread of illness, protect vulnerable students and staff and ensure children return to school ready to learn. Thank you for your cooperation in helping us maintain a healthy and nurturing learning environment!
