Varsity Cross Country Excels at SLW Centennial Invite

The varsity boys and girls cross country team competed at the St. Lucie West Centennial High School Invitational in Port St. Lucie on 9/13/25. The girls team defended their title from last year, finishing in 1st place out of 10 teams with 45 points. The boys team finished in 4th place out of 12 schools with 113 points.

For the girls team, Jacquelyn Perrin captured 1st place overall and smashed her personal record to finish in 19:52.2. The Pirates went on to dominate the top 10 and set more personal records, with Sophie Cooper finishing 3rd at 22:06.2, Cadence Callaghan placing 5th at 22.34.2, and Nahlia Hebig finishing 7th at 22.36.5. Isabella Peter rounded out the scoring with her 31st place finish at 26:16.7.

For the boys team, Jack Curley secured a solid 2nd place finish at 17:15.8. Setting personal best times were Chris Perrin in 14th place with 19:45.8 and Cam Perrin in 15th place with 19:54.8. Completing the scoring for the Pirates were Chris Campbell in 43rd place at 22:20.2 and Reef Blackman in 49th place at 22:51.9.
 
Next meet is away on 9/19/25 at the Spanish River Invite, starting at 4:00 PM at South County Regional Park in West Boca Raton.
