Varsity Cross Country Teams Place 2nd Overall at Benjamin Invite

On 9/30/23, the varsity cross country teams headed to Palm Beach Gardens to take part in the Benjamin Invite. Both the girls and the boys teams secured a 2nd place overall finish behind The Benjamin School.

Jack Curley led the boys team on the course, recording a 1st place individual finish in the race. Teammate Bobby Campbell finished in 4th place and set a new career personal record with 19:46, a 32 second improvement. Team captain AJ Munz had a season-best time with a 16 second drop. Also setting personal records were Daniel Clemente, who dropped 13 seconds, and Trey Donohoe who dropped more than 3 minutes.

For the girls team, Tyler Colgan finished 6th and Elizabeth Campbell placed 8th. Isabella Peter saw a 3-second increase to her personal record, and Genevieve Medalie dropped almost 2 minutes off her best time for a new personal record.
 
Next meet is away on 10/7/23 at the Starting Points Sports Invitational, starting at 7:00 AM at Fred Poppe Regional Park in Palm Bay.
