My top three extracurriculars were Soccer, Football, and Jazz Band. Playing sports has always been a hobby of mine since I was in elementary school. But when I came to Saint Edward's I picked up band and it soon became one of my favorite activities.
What’s your “core memory” from SES?
One of my core memories from SES is the entirety of the 6th grade soccer season. We only played against JV teams, and our team consisted of 6th graders. So, we lost every game because we were a bunch of 13-year-olds playing against 16 and 17-year-olds. But, overall it was an enjoyable experience and it made us better players at the end of the day.
Give a shoutout to your favorite class, teacher, mentor or coach!
A teacher who has been very influential to me is Dr. Mohr. He has effectively guided me to applying and getting accepted to colleges. He has taken time out of his day and worked around my schedule to ensure I succeed.
What’s something you accomplished at SES that your freshman-year self would be impressed by?
My Freshman-year self would be impressed with me taking AP Classes. When I was a freshman I was very intimidated by the idea of taking an AP Class, now I am much more comfortable taking them.
Drop some wisdom—what’s one piece of advice you’d give to an underclassman?
Your grades in your freshman and sophomore years matter more than you think. Try to maintain a good GPA in those earlier years so you have a good foundation to build off of.
