Starting the Day in Prayer and Community

This past Wednesday, SES students, parents and employees had the opportunity to gather near the flagpole before school to take part in See You at the Pole™ – a global day of student prayer observed annually on the fourth Wednesday in September. What began in 1990 as a grassroots movement with 10 students praying at their school has since grown into millions of students praying on their campuses worldwide.

Following a time of refreshments, Father Barrett opened with a word of encouragement and then invited those in attendance to pray for our School, community, nation and world as they felt led. The morning ended with everyone joining hands to recite The Lord's Prayer together. We are grateful to all who joined us early that morning to lift up our School in prayer and continue this meaningful tradition.

If you're interested in praying regularly with other SES families, you're invited to check out our Parents in Prayer & Service (PIPS) group, which meets on Wednesday mornings on campus. Click here for more information and to share a prayer request with the group. PIPS will also be hosting a Welcome Tea this Wednesday, October 1 – a wonderful way to learn more and meet those involved.

"Then you will call on me and come and pray to me, and I will listen to you. You will seek me and find me when you seek me with all your heart." –Jeremiah 29:12-13
