Celebrating Hispanic Heritage Month

In honor of National Hispanic Heritage Month, upper school art students created stunning works inspired by iconic artists such as Carmen Herrera, Fernando Botero, Frida Kahlo, Diego Rivera and more. Their artwork pays tribute to the rich contributions of Hispanic culture to our nation’s history, art and achievements. Please click on the headline of this story to view their works.

The celebration continued with the Celebración Cultural Hispana, hosted by the Spanish Honor Society for middle and upper school students and staff. Attendees enjoyed hands-on crafts, lively performances by the chorus, captivating dances from Spanish classes and even a spirited “grito” contest. The event was live-streamed for the community and can be rewatched on our Instagram, so everyone can join in the festivities.

Together, the art and celebrations brought the vibrancy of Hispanic culture to life for our students and community.
