Counselor Connections: Healthy Downtime - Technology and the Developing Brain

Join us for the second Counselor Connections event on November 11 from 8:15-9:00 a.m. in the Peter B. Benedict Library, featuring Kelly Williams, LMHC, for an important discussion on how the digital world affects young minds. This session is perfectly timed just after US Phone-Free Week, giving parents tools to support younger students as they build new, healthy habits that will benefit their brains and their lives.

With 20 years of experience providing therapeutic care for children and adolescents, Kelly, the Clinical Services Manager of the Behavioral Health Center at Cleveland Clinic Indian River Hospital, will explore the impact of technology on brain development, the link between screen habits and mental health and offer practical strategies for parents and caregivers to help students manage technology in healthy ways.
