Rushil Sura: Senior Spotlight

  1. When did you start at Saint Edward's?
    • Kindergarten
  2. What were your favorite extracurriculars?
    • MY sports (Basketball, Tennis) and clubs like Model UN, Envirothon, and doing my hospital internship where I shadowed anesthesiologists for a week
  3. What’s your “core memory” from SES?
    • Either my Humor Speech or playing 1v1 basketball on our senior class trip in the keys
  4. Give a shoutout to your favorite class, teacher, mentor or coach!
    • Some classes I really appreciated were AP Bio, APUSH, AP Physics C- Mechanics, and AP Spanish Lang. I'd like to thank Dr. LP, Sra. Mejia, Mr. Tuna, Mrs. Buckley. For college counseling, Mrs. Wald was the best, and I thank her for her help and advice.
  5. What’s something you accomplished at SES that your freshman-year self would be impressed by?
    • Maintaining that balance of everything I enjoy doing while continuing to be a good student as classes and life got busier.
  6. Drop some wisdom—what’s one piece of advice you’d give to an underclassman?
    • I would say that there's no one way to go about building success in high school. Prioritize your goals but remember to always take breaks when needed to not burn out and have fun with the process. Even though there will be some crazy busy days, don't stress out and just know that it'll all work out in the end. Just put in the work when needed and you'll end up where you want to be in the future.
