Spanish Competition Team Earns Top Honors at State Conference

Congratulations to our Spanish Competition Team who earned top honors at the Florida State Spanish Conference!
 
Seniors Matthew Burris, Noah Hernandez, Addison Logemann and Sofia Rojas took home gold ribbons in impromptu speaking. In addition, Matthew and Noah took part in the traditional dress event, representing their Colombian and Cuban heritage, while Addison sang a solo and Sofia and Reese Fox sang a duo in the song category. Notably, Addison Logemann won a top prize in the Senior Essay event.
 
The actor’s troupe took home highest honors for their Spanish drama “Three Top Hats.” Congratulations to Larissa Peterson, Lily Browning, Matthew Cocks, Valentina Henriquez, Isabella Peter and Antonio Torres for their amazing performance. Each of these participants also received a personal gold ribbon in the impromptu speaking event!
 
Junior Reese Fox and freshmen Paloma Kourakis and Elis Rey Nelson had a fantastic first year at the conference with excellent, good and gold ribbons respectively in impromptu speaking. Paloma and Elis Rey bravely tackled the poetry event to bring home superior ribbons.
