Technology and the Developing Brain

Last week, our second Counselor Connections event brought together parents for an engaging discussion with Clinical Services Manager of the Behavioral Health Center Kelly Williams, LMHC, on navigating the digital world and its effects on young minds. With two decades of experience in therapeutic care for children and adolescents, Kelly shared valuable insights on how technology impacts brain development and mental health, highlighting the important link between screen habits and overall well-being.

During her talk, Kelly provided practical strategies for parents to help children and teens manage screen time in a healthy way, fostering balance and resilience in today’s digital age. Click here for a one-pager summarizing key takeaways from her presentation.
