Great Finishes for Varsity Cross Country at District Competition

On 11/4/25, the boys and girls cross country team took part in the Class 1A District 7 Tournament held at South County Regional Park in Boca Raton. The girls team finished 2nd overall out of 17 team to take the District Runner-up title, while the boys team finished 4th overall, ensuring both teams will move on to Regionals.

For the girls team, Jacquelyn Perrin shattered her previous personal record to run a 19:09.3 and seize the District 7 Girls Champion position. Sophie Cooper shaved 59 seconds off her previous personal best to place 10th overall and clock in at 21:11.1. Following closely was Nahlia Hebig in 12th place with a new personal record of 22:08.0. Also contributing to the Pirates' 2nd place team finish were Cadence Callaghan in 27th place with 23:14.8 and Isabella Peter in 48th place with 25.42.4.
 
In the boys race, Jack Curley led the way with a 6th place overall finish at 16:42.5. Joining Curley on the Top 15 podium was teammate Jamin Dunham in 12th place, having shaved 45 seconds off his personal record to finish with a 17:42.8. Rounding out the scoring for the boys team were Chris Perrin in 34th place (19.16.1), Cam Perrin in 37th place (19:25.6), and Reef Blackman in 44th place (19:50.52).
 
Next meet is the Class 1A Region 4 Tournament on 11/14/25, starting at 8:30 PM at South County Regional Park in Boca Raton.
