Varsity Girl Lifters Make Gains at Vero Beach Meet

On 11/13/25, the varsity girls weightlifting went head-to-head on the road with Vero Beach High School. The Pirate team scored 3 points in Olympic and 6 points in Traditional to the Indians' 77 points in Olympic and 71 in Traditional.

Junior Issie Evans grabbed 2nd place in her weight class in the Olympic category, going 6for6 with 65*/90*/155* and setting new personal records. She also went 6for6 in the Traditional category, capturing another 2nd place finish for her lifts of 90*/75/165*.

In her division, junior Valentina Henriquez went 6for6 in both of her events, placing 3rd in both Olympic (60/65/115) and Traditional (65/70*/135).

Junior Ellie Ma competed in her first meet with the Pirate team, lifting 30/40/70 in Olympic and 40/45/85 in Traditional.

Freshman Katie Padgett placed 3rd in her weight class in Olympic with 40*/60*/100* and 3rd in Traditional with 60/60*/120*.

In her division, junior Lily Browning placed 3rd in the Olympic category with 45/50/90 and went 6for6 in Traditional with 50/50/100.

Next meet is at home on 11/19/25 versus John Carroll Catholic High School, starting at 4:00 PM in the Wachter Activities Center.
