A Petting Zoo Brings Studies to Life in PK4

Did you know that lizards smell with their tongues? Our PK4 students did, instantly answering when Reptile Roger popped the question! Last week, they enjoyed a special visit from Cock A Doodle Doo Petting Zoo, where they got up close with reptiles, amphibians, arachnids, fish and even some furry friends, like Hamlet the piglet. With gentle hands, they petted a variety of creatures, wisely passing on the hairy tarantula (though Mrs. Puttick bravely gave it a try). It was a fantastic day of hands-on learning and animal adventures!
