Deeper Research in 8th grade English

To conclude their novel study of To Kill A Mockingbird, the eighth graders are investigating whether or not the novel is autobiographical or a work of fiction. They welcomed Mrs. Murphy and her investigative genealogy research to delve deeper into the debate. She presented research documents such as death certificates, census records, and newspaper articles from the 1920s that influenced the novel’s storyline. It was a true Geneventure in the classroom!
