What a Week! A Message from the Head of MS

On behalf of the Middle School faculty and staff, I want to thank all of you for your understanding and patience as we spent last week putting together a virtual platform that allows us to continue the high-quality education that you expect from us. At the same time, it is important that we continue to foster personal connections in this time of social distancing.

If you haven't already, please watch the video that I sent to the Middle School last Friday. It explains our program in more detail.

We are now a few days into this program and, so far, things seem to be going well.

Please read Ms. Borkovic's article in today's View from the Middle. It provides many great recommendations for students learning in a virtual environment.

In addition to those recommendations, here are a few reminders from me:

Teachers will post work for the next week by 5:00 pm Sundays and include the following Monday (8 days ahead) for best planning.

Spend time on the weekends creating a weekly calendar. Include synchronous classes, assignments, and time away from the computer.

If you have tech issues contact help@steds.org or Mrs. Fykes kfykes@steds.org.

All other questions should go to your teachers.
