Finn Secunda Saves the Day at Polo Match

We recently heard from Finn Secunda's (8) mom, Shannon, about a recent match in which Finn played for Iconica Polo Team out of the International Polo Club in Palm Beach. Finn was a replacement for the team's patron, Maureen Brennen.

Mrs. Secunda shared the play-by-play of the match: What an exciting game! They were losing by 3 in the last chukker (time increment of 7 minutes) Finn made two goals- one was the highlight of the game and he won a penalty for the team which tied them up 10/10 -they finally won in overtime at the end of the 7th chukker. He was exhausted! At that level, theres a lot of physical contact not to mention the mental strain of the better players yelling at you and telling you what to do and what not to do-he’s never played at this level in a real match. High goal practices are much more relaxed but when it comes down to the money,  everyone wants to win and it can get hostile. He was so nervous all the way there, couldn’t eat his breakfast and slept all the way home. It was a very good day! So proud of him!

Congratulations Finn!
