Varsity Cheerleaders Pump Up Crowd Against SLAM! Palm Beach

On 9/1/22, the varsity cheerleading team led Pirate fans in chants and cheers from the sidelines as the varsity football team took on the Cobras of Sports Leadership and Management Academy from West Palm Beach at home. The cheerleaders cheered to a packed Student Section, which was filled with enthusiastic students following the night's Neon theme.

The Lady Pirates unveiled a few newly learned cheers at the game to get the crowd on their feet, including "Jammin' with the Blue and White," "Let's Get a Little Bit Rowdy," and "Aggressive." They also chanted several familiar crowd-pleasing favorites like "Yell Out Your Colors, Pirates" and "Pirate Rumble."

The varsity cheerleaders continued the St. Edward's School tradition of completing push-ups after each scoring touchdown by the football team. With the varsity football team collecting a 40-14 victory, the Lady Pirates cheer squad tallied quite the number of push-ups!

Participating on this year's cheer squad are seniors: Giuliana Battista, Lauren Chesley, Laurel Logemann, Thea Matter, Faith Mead, Aiala Ruiz de Arbulo Sagasti, and Marissa Vatland; junior: Anna Petersen; sophomores: Addison Logemann and Clara Ries; freshmen: Shaniya Bryant and Jenna Ochacher; and eighth-grader: Rosalie Miller.

Next game is at home on 9/10/22 versus Berean Christian School, starting at 7:00 PM at the Michael J. Mersky Field. The game night theme will be Formal/Black Tie.
