We Did It! New Lower School Playground Fully Funded
What an incredible moment for Saint Edward’s School! Thanks to the generosity and spirit of our amazing community, we are excited to share that the Lower School Playground project is now fully funded. Together, we raised over $500,000 to bring this dream to life!
The new playground will be more than just a place to play; it will be a space where our students can climb, explore, imagine and grow. From adventurous play structures to areas that spark creativity, teamwork and imagination, this project represents the heart of what makes Saint Edward’s School such a special place for children to learn and thrive. The Pirate Ship will be the centerpiece of the equipment. I can already envision our students on deck, ready to explore the high seas.
We can’t wait to see the joy on their faces when they run onto their new playground for the first time. The initiatives we have taken in the past few months reflect our commitment to investing in facilities that enhance both the academic and social-emotional development of our students.
This project, as well as the expanded and renovated Becker Pool, the renovated and expanded locker room project and the renovated weight room, shows the true power of our Pirate community; every gift, no matter the size, has helped us realize something meaningful for our children.
Stay tuned for when construction will begin. We are told the lead time from placing the order to the equipment arriving on campus is at least four months, so we are confident the new playground will be installed this academic year. We will celebrate with a ribbon-cutting when the playground is ready for action. We can’t wait to welcome our lower school students into this brand-new space designed just for them.
To every faculty member, parent, grandparent, trustee, alum and all of our school friends who contributed, thank you. This success is a true team effort, and it shows what happens when Pirates come together for a common cause. The future of play at Saint Edward’s School has never looked brighter!
