Varsity Girls Lacrosse Heading to Regional Semifinals
The varsity girls lacrosse team hosted Saint John Paul II High School on 4/25/25 for the Class 1A Regional 4 Quarterfinals. The competitive matchup between the Pirates and the Eagles saw the Pirates walk away as the ultimate victors with a final score of 11-8. With their win, the Pirate team now advances to the Regional Semifinals.
Topping the scoreboard for the Pirates were Margaret Fykes and Aerin Russell with 3 goals apiece. CJ Fykes provided 2 goals and 1 assist, and Lily O'Brien nabbed 2 goals. Caitlin Moscrip netted 1 goal for the Pirates, and Nicollette Kennedy added 1 assist. Bebe Busch-Dunford led the defensive charge for the Pirates with 3 caused turnovers, and Leah Chin recorded 2 caused turnovers. Teammates Kennedy, Grace Fykes, Kelly Lynch, Lily Chin, C. Moscrip, and Maddie Moscrip created 1 caused turnover each. At the goal, M. Moscrip recorded 6 saves, with her 217th save breaking the all-time school record for career saves.
Next game is the Class 1A Region 4 Semifinals on 4/29/25 at Saint Andrew's School in Boca Raton, starting at 7:00 PM.
