Varsity Equestrian Flenner-Preston Shows in Jumpers
This past winter, sixth-grade varsity equestrian athlete Mattison Flenner-Preston competed at the TerraNova Hunter/Jumper Week 1 show in Myakka City, showing in jumpers for the first time. With her horse Pearl Girl, Flenner-Preston placed reserve champion in the .60 jumper as well as placing champion in the .70. This was Pearl Girl's first time showing at an A show as well as the first time showing in jumpers. Pearl Girl, a 7-year-old Thoroughbred, has been retrained by Mattison-Flenner and her mother after the horse retired from racing.
Flenner-Mattison will be showing this upcoming weekend at WEF Global Equestrian Village, riding in hunters and jumpers and attempting to qualify for a Pony finals which will be held at the Kentucky Horse Park in Lexington, Kentucky, this August.
