Varsity Baseball on Winning Roll

Varsity Baseball defeated Fort Pierce Westwood High School in Fort Pierce on 3/28/19 by a score of 12-3.

The Pirates fired up the offense in the first inning.  Michael Mangieri singled, Casey Richey walked and Anand Chundi singled on a 0-1 count, scoring Michael Mangieri.  Casey Richey and Anand Chundi stole home and Travis Camp and Zander Beare came in to score in the first on Aidan Heaney's single to left field.

Travis Camp was the winning pitcher for the Pirates.  He surrendered three earned runs on seven hits over five innings, striking out six.  Zander Beare came in for relief, throwing two innings in relief out of the bullpen allowing no runs.

Beare recorded the last six outs to earn the save for the Pirates, striking out two and picking off one.

Casey Richey led the team with three hits in four at bats.  The Pirates stole nine bases during the game with Aidan Heaney and Aidan Taylor leading the way with two each.
The team will look to continue their three game winning streak against Lake Worth Christian School in Lake Worth on 4/2/19 starting at 4:00 p.m.
