Varsity Baseball Rallies Past Bulldogs

The varsity baseball team defeated Fort Pierce Westwood High School from Fort Pierce at home on 4/15/19, by a score of 5-3.

The Pirates got things moving in the second inning when Aidan Heaney singled scoring Zander Beare.  The team scored three runs in the fourth inning. The offensive onslaught came from a single by Michael Mangieri and a fielder's choice by Travis Camp. The Pirates saw the ball well today, racking up seven hits in the game.  Camp and Mangieri each collected multiple hits for the Pirates.  Camp was the winning pitcher for the Pirates. He surrendered one run on two hits over five innings, striking out seven and walking one.  Casey Richey threw two innings in relief out of the bullpen.  Richy recorded the last six outs to earn the save in the teams sixth straight win.
Next game will be home against Berean Christian School from West Palm Beach on 04/16 at 5:30 p.m.
